Chatterboxes - Week 6

2. Week 6 - Tuesday

Age 2–3

Help your child to develop their listening skills by playing listening games.

Singing songs and nursery rhymes with your child will help them to extend their vocabulary knowledge as they’re introduced to lots of new words and hear them repeated over and over.

Ages 3–4 and 4–5

In the ‘First Day at Bug School’ story the bugs in the story are all starting school. You will have been talking to your child about starting nursery or school as well. Play this game together and talk about the school day together.

Make some bug puppets like the characters in the book. Then Take your bugs outside and recreate the story, talk about what the school day is like through play. Remember to be positive, talk about the fun your child will have and meeting friends again or making new friends.
