Description

This guideline covers recognising, diagnosing and managing attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children, young people and adults. It aims to improve recognition and diagnosis, as well as the quality of care and support for people with ADHD.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) provides the NHS with  the current evidence base and advice to  improve outcomes for people with certain  health conditions.

NICE Guidance sets out  the ‘gold standard’ of care, underpinned by up to date clinical research. NICE Guidance  is available for a number of health conditions,  both physical and mental health conditions.

It provides a structure for the NHS, local authorities, employers, voluntary groups and anybody else involved in delivering care or promoting wellbeing.
