Hate and how can we effectively challenge - Governor Training

Dates and times:
Tuesday 15 October 2024, 6 - 8pm

These training sessions are designed to equip governors with the knowledge to recognise what Hate Crime means, in relation to the protected characteristics of race, religion or belief/non-belief, disability, gender, sexual orientation and alternative sub-culture.

Aims and Objectives:

  • To know the difference between a hate crime and a hate incident;
  • To provide information, resources and learning experiences to raise awareness of hate incidents/crimes;
  • To explore effective ways to challenge hate;
  • The importance of reporting all incidents and benefits of 3rd party reporting
