Oldham Council is inviting comments on the Saddleworth Neighbourhood Plan and its supporting documents.

The consultation is being run on behalf of Oldham Council and the Peak District National Park Authority under Regulation 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations.

The consultation runs from 10 June 2026 until 11.59pm on 24 July 2026.

What happens next:

All comments will be passed to an independent examiner. They will check whether the plan meets legal requirements.

If the plan is successful, it will go to a local referendum. If more than half of those voting support it, the plan will be adopted.

Once adopted, the Saddleworth Neighbourhood Plan will be used alongside local planning policies to help decide planning applications in the area.
