Saddleworth Neighbourhood Development Plan – Regulation 16 consultation

Saddleworth Parish Council have prepared the Saddleworth Neighbourhood Plan covering the whole Saddleworth Parish boundary.

Saddleworth Parish falls within Oldham Council’s planning boundary and also the Peak District National Park boundary.

The Neighbourhood Plan proposal sets out a vision, plan objectives and planning policies. Once adopted by Oldham Council and the Peak District National Park Authority (PDNPA), the Neighbourhood Plan will form part of the statutory development plan and will be used to assess planning applications alongside the relevant Local Plans (including Places for Everyone) covering the Saddleworth Parish neighbourhood area.

Saddleworth Parish Council submitted the Neighbourhood Plan and supporting documents to Oldham Council and the PDNPA under Regulation 15 of the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations 2012 (as amended).

Oldham Council is inviting representations on behalf of both itself and the Peak District National Park Authority on the Saddleworth Neighbourhood Plan and its supporting documents, in line with the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations (Regulation 16) from 10 June 2026 until 11.59pm on 24th July 2026.
