A brand new scheme to help Oldhamers get interview ready is launching in Oldham.
Working Wardrobe will provide unemployed residents with free outfits for interviews, alongside tailored interview support and job advice.
Working Wardrobe is being launched by Get Oldham Working, the free council service which helps residents find work and training opportunities.
The team is now appealing to local businesses and residents to donate work clothes to those struggling to afford outfits for interviews.
Cllr Shoab Akhtar, Cabinet Member for Employment and Enterprise, said: "Working Wardrobe will be a fantastic addition to the Get Oldham Working package of support already in place.
"The scheme will provide a one-to-one service offering clothing for interviews, and also bespoke interview training and confidence-building to help residents make the best possible first impression.
"This is such an important service and we would welcome the support of both businesses and individuals to donate work-appropriate clothes to enable us to provide this service to Oldham residents."
Working Wardrobe will launch in March and will have a permanent home on Albion Street at Shop 11, Tommyfield Market. It will be open Monday to Friday by appointment.
To help get the shop up and running, donations of work-appropriate clothes in a range of sizes are being welcomed.

- New unopened cosmetics and toiletries
