The Greater Manchester Joint Waste Plan Document (Joint Minerals Plan ) sets out the locations in Greater Manchester where mineral extraction may take place, safeguards mineral resources with potential for future extraction and provides guidance on all aspects of resource protection, including the sustainable transportation of minerals.
The Joint Minerals Plan supports Policy 8 ‘Sustainable Use of Resources – Minerals’ in the adopted Joint Core Strategy and Development Management Policies Development Plan Document.
It was adopted on 26 April 2013.
