Chatterboxes - Week 3

4. Week 3 - Thursday

Age 2–3

Make a rainbow and help your child to learn about colours. Which colours can you find around your home? Model putting two words together, for example; yellow cup, blue plate, green hat, etc. Can they match the colours in the same order as a rainbow?

Age 3–4

Take a bag and do a scavenger hunt together. Ask your child to find things, for example, find something green, find something that’s bumpy etc.

Age 4–5

Make a telescope and take your child on a hunt around the house or outdoors.

Create an indoor treasure hunt and encourage your child to find some hidden objects. Comment to your child as you go, for example “up, up”, “down, down”, “round and round”, “high and low”, “above and below”. Model with actions and give clues.
