Chatterboxes - Week 3

3. Week 3 - Wednesday

Age 2–3

Make a map of your journey. Talk to your child about where you went. What did you do first, next, after that and last of all. Can they draw pictures or make marks on the map and talk about them? Use describing words to develop their vocabulary.

Take photos on your phone so that you can talk about them when you get home.

Age 3–4

Build a den with your child and make a dark cave, where the fireflies’ glow. Encourage your child to tell you how they’re going to build their den and what they will need. If they come across a problem can they work out how to fix it?

Age 4–5

Listen to some sounds with your child – can they work out which sounds go together and which sounds are different. Encourage your child to explain why some of the sounds are different.
