Ibrahim's story - visual impairment

The Visually Impaired Sensory and Physical Support Service is supporting a child in taking part in community activities and has been a helping hand for his mum.

Rahima was at a loss when her son’s eyesight began to deteriorate. At first, she didn’t know where to turn for support.

Kaleem's story - hearing impairment

The Hathershaw Hearing Resource Centre Team support pupils with hearing impairments.

One such young person is Kaleem Tariq who attends The Hearing Resource Centre at Hathershaw College, a unique secondary resource for hearing-impaired students in Oldham. The centre caters for students with a range of hearing losses who require support to access the curriculum.

Teachers of the deaf and educational communicators support the students both in class and in the centre.
