Personal Independence Payment (PIP) is a state benefit that helps people with long-term health conditions or disabilities cover extra living costs, regardless of income or employment status.
PIP is a non-means-tested benefit available to people aged 16 to State Pension age in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland who have a long-term physical or mental health condition or disability
PIP has two parts:
- The daily living component, and
- The mobility component.
