Our Day Nursery is registered with OFSTED to provide high quality childcare for children aged two years to five years old. A 10% reduction is offered to siblings
We also offer after school and holiday clubs.
We have an on-site chef that prepares our meals from fresh groceries considering all dietary requirements.

YesHow do you identify special educational needs and disabilities?
When the child starts nursery, we observe them, carry out baseline assessments and identify the children’s strengths and any areas for development. If a child is performing below age related expectations the Nursery manager/SENCO will discuss this with the parent. Further support strategies will be sought.How do you involve parents/carers?
We gradually admit the child into the setting and gather information about them from their parents. Parents are asked to complete a development stage form during the child’s settling sessions and practitioners complete a baseline in the first two weeks of the child’s attendance at nursery to know the child’s stage of development, the outcomes which is then shared with parents/carers and a next step of learning is implemented.How do you support a child’s learning and development?
We observe where a child is currently at and the next set of skills, they need to acquire using observations, learning journals, planning, next steps and partnership with parents. We build/maintain a positive relationship with the parents, share information to ensure parent’s know and understand the role of the key worker as well as procedures for early identification, referrals, local offer, transitions etc.How do you meet a child’s educational needs?
We promote every child’s uniqueness by understanding and observing each child's learning & development, assess their progress and plan for next steps. We identify any need for additional support, keep children safe, value & respect all children & families equally. We help children to develop a positive sense of their own identity & culture.How do we know my child is achieving agreed outcomes?
We will assess children to notice if a child is falling behind in one area of development, then provide the extra support they need to succeed in this area. Parents receive feedback on their child’s assessment and will be able to understand their child’s learning, support & make improvements at home as well.How do you adapt for a child with extra needs?
We provide stimulating activities using SEN resources. Use Sensory materials, visual prompts where necessary, such as a visual timetable and picture props.How accessible is your service, outside and inside?
All areas are easily accessible with a flat surface throughout the nursery both indoors and outdoors.How do you involve children in outings and trips?

We work in partnership with outside agencies to meet children’s need. We follow advice given by other agencies and create plans to cover and promote all areas of children’s development. Our Senco meets with other agencies as required and is confident to make referrals to SALT & AEN or other professionals.How do you support children when they start and leave?
Children starting the setting are gradually admitted by inviting parents to attend nursery sessions with the children. We provide a transition journal for children to take to their new setting, with information on what they did while at nursery, trips, books read and new school visits/settling informationHow are you/staff trained in extra needs?
Yes, our manager attends regular training and network meetings, staff receive regular training on supporting SENDWhat is your policy on compliments, complaints, concerns?
Compliment, Concern or Complaint are dealt with professionally in accordance with our policy. You can speak with your child’s keyworker or our manager to discuss an action plan to get the best out of the issue. We welcome all feedbacks and compliments which are shared with staff.
