We identify SEND throughout observations, assessments and the children's development checks. We also have a close relationship with other professionals such as health visitors etc..How do you involve parents/carers?
We involve parents by having regular meetings and daily communication such as telephone calls, emails or text messages sharing information from home as well as at nursery which also gives parents support to which then then feel at ease discussing their children with usHow do you support a child’s learning and development?
Firstly we would provide strategies and targets with the parents, to also ask for the parents input. we would schedule regular review meetings to monitor progress at home as well as within the settingHow do you meet a child’s educational needs?

We work effectively with all relevant agencies communicating on a daily basis, we abide by creating a warming atmosphere.How do you support children when they start and leave?
We provide taster sessions where we invite parents and the child to stay at the setting for a period of time to build relationships with the practitioners and to explore the setting. Once the child has begun to warm to the setting visit's are done where parents can wait in the library so the child can explore the setting alone. This time is upped on each session, until the child is happy and settled to do a full session. They will then be given a key person who will be with the child through their journey of nursery. When leaving the nursery a transition meeting will be provided involving all professionals and the school.How are you/staff trained in extra needs?
There are two senco's within the setting which hold the qualification.What is your policy on compliments, complaints, concerns?
