As a watchdog for children and young people’s health services the charity ensures that standards are safeguarded, maintained and improved. Action for sick children believe that family focused environments, as well as excellent health care services, are critical in aiding recovery.

Action for sick children  works in partnership with health care professionals and providers to encourage the involvement of children, young people, families and their carers in the development of their health care services in order that the health care delivered is appropriate to their unique needs and specific priorities.

Action for sick children  is committed to ensuring that children and young people receive the highest standards of care by supporting parents, carers and health care professionals in their pursuit of a high quality dedicated service.

Major improvements in children’s health services have taken place and the charity continues to play an influential consultative role to key policy makers and government in the development of healthcare policies for children. Action for sick children is proud of the role it has played in the recognition of the importance of the emotional, social and psychological needs of sick children.
