Description

Higher Failsworth Primary is a very inclusive school. We have children with a wide variety of needs (Autistic Spectrum disorder, Down's Syndrome, Verbal dyspraxia, hearing imparie, Visually impaired). Children with special educational needs are supported in a variety of ways. We have skilled teaching assistants who can support and teach children using particular interventions and strategies.They liase closely with health professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and paediatricians to ensure that programmes are delivered appropriately. We use Signalong signs to support communication within school.
