Can be flexible and hours can be negotiated dependent on circumstances and additional siblings.
Discount provided for children being cared for before and after school on a weekly basis.
How do you identify special educational needs and disabilities?
Through regular observations and assessments of the children and discussions with parents. Keep up to date with special education needs and disabilities training, up to date learning journal and regular assessments.How do you involve parents/carers?
We would use our expertise, knowledge to identify a child with special educational needs. We would work in partnership with any other professionals.How do you support a child’s learning and development?
I would inform parents of agencies that could help. I would work closely with parents keeping all information confidential at all times.How do you meet a child’s educational needs?
Through following the EYFS and areas and stages of a child's development. Through communication with parents, teachers, external bodies and through regular observations and assessments.How do we know my child is achieving agreed outcomes?
I refer parents to the online Early Years Foundation Stage. So they can see what I am referring to we would continue to use our tracking system and development plans that may be implemented by other agencies.How do you adapt for a child with extra needs?
Activities are planned around the children's needs and requirements so if an activity was planned I would ensure all children could take part by assessing the abilities of the child first with the help of parents and healthcare professionals.How accessible is your service, outside and inside?
All my resources are kept downstairs in safe reach for each age group. I have toilet upstairs and flat drive at the front of the house.How do you involve children in outings and trips?
I would discuss with parents any necessary details and equipment that would help their child. All children will be involved in outings, parks and many local places.How do you work with other organisations?
We work in partnership with any other professionals. We exchange information with Early Years, Children's Centres, Health Visitors and Teachers.How do you support children when they start and leave?
They do several visits with the child, to settle them in. When a child comes to leave we prpeare them beforehand and they know they can keep in touch.How are you/staff trained in extra needs?
Training which is updated through Safeguarding Networks and regular checks on the internal SEND training and speech and language, moving and handling.What is your policy on compliments, complaints, concerns?
Regular chats with parents ensure any concerns they have will be dealt with. Parents receive a copy of my complaints policy which provides what action they need to take.
