Description

The Kingsland Primary Outreach Service (formerly known as the SEMHS Team) is a small team that offers support to primary Schools when a child is at risk of exclusion or having behaviour difficulties in school.

Our aim is to support the staff in schools to explore any blocks to learning and improve the inclusion and outcomes for these pupils. We do this by supporting colleagues to better understand the child’s behaviour as communication and by trialling new approaches that help children to settle enjoy and achieve.

If a parent feels their child needs assessment and intervention from the SEMHS Team they should discuss this with the school SENCo in the first instance.
The Kingsland Primary Outreach Service also ensures all primary permanently excluded pupils have access to continued education during the appeal process.

The Service Manager is Sal Qureshi
