Description

We are a team of educational psychologists who work with children, young people and those who work with them as well as their families. We provide consultation, assessment and interventions to promote best outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.

The ECPS is made up of a core team of Educational Psychologists:

  • We have expertise in psychology, how children learn and develop and how their behaviour and the behaviour of those around them is influenced by the contexts they are in.
  • We use this knowledge to support children and young people (aged 0-25 years) who are experiencing difficulties which are impacting on their education.
  • We collaborate directly with children and young people, the school staff - who work with them, their parents/ carers and professionals from other education, health and social care teams.
  • We provide holistic consultation, assessments and interventions to promote the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
  • We also offer training and development opportunities to staff working in schools and other educational settings.

All our Educational Psychologists have undertaken an accredited post graduate qualification to a Masters or Doctorate level in Educational Psychology and are registered with the Health Care Professionals Council.
