Description

The Changing Places Consortium launched its campaign in 2006 on behalf of the over 1/4 of a million people who cannot use standard accessible toilets.

This includes people with:

  • profound and multiple learning disabilities
  • motor neurone disease
  • multiple sclerosis
  • cerebral palsy
  • as well as older people.

To use the toilet in safety and comfort, many people need to be able to access a Changing Places, which have more space and the right equipment, including a height adjustable changing bench and a hoist.

The Changing Places consortium believes all Changing Places toilets listed on this site provide the essential equipment needed in a Changing Places toilet (a height adjustable adult-sized changing bench, hoist and plenty of space) unless otherwise stated.
Please visit our map for more details about what you can expect to find in each Changing Places toilet.
We rely on volunteers to check the facilities.

All information on this site has been provided in good faith. The consortium is unable to accept responsibility for any inaccurate information or for problems encountered when visiting Changing Places toilets listed on this site.
If you are visiting a venue for the first time we strongly advise you contact the venue in advance to discuss your requirements. Contact details for all venues can be found by visiting our map.
The consortium advises you to carry your own sling when visiting any Changing Places toilet for health and safety reasons. Again we advise that you contact the venue in advance to discuss your requirements.
