Support, advice, health treatment for young people
People under 26
Young people can access the service for advice on all health related issues and can also be signposted to other services if needed.
Our service provides a ‘one stop shop' for young people to access and allows them a confidential consultation with a health professional. Young people who are not attending school frequently access the service as they often have appointments with their Connexions worker and will seek advice whilst in the building.
This enables some of the borough's most vulnerable young people to access health services. The service is led by an Advanced Practitioner who is qualified to diagnose and prescribe for a wide range of health issues. A comprehensive health assessment can also be offered.
Treatment for cuts, scrapes and bruises, asthma, general infections, diet and healthy lifestyle advice, sexual health advice, pregnancy testing's, emergency contraception, support finding a dentist or doctor and smoking cessation are all offered as routine within the service.
