Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcohol addiction and stay sober. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are several meetings in Oldham: Meetings at Chadderton Court, 451 Middleton Road (Opposite the Town Hall), Chadderton, Oldham, OL9 9LB are held on Sundays at 12:00pm, Thursdays at 10:30am and Fridays at 7:30pm. Meetings at The Welcome Centre, Vaughan Street, Royton, Oldham, OL2 5DL are held on Sundays at 7:30pm, Tuesdays at 7:30pm and Thursdays at 7:30pm. Meetings at St. Patrick's Church, Our Lady St. Carmel, 40 Union Street, Oldham, OL8 1DL on Sundays at 7:30pm. Meetings at The Link Centre, 140 Union Street, Oldham, OL1 1DZ on Wednesdays at 7:30pm. Meetings are held at The Salt Cellar, 10 Church Lane, Oldham, OL1 3AN on Saturdays at 11:30am.
