Description

Samaritans provide confidential emotional support, 24 hours a day 7 days a week for people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those which may lead to suicide.

You don't have to be suicidal to call them.

If you'd like to talk to someone face-to-face in a quiet, private space, we'll welcome you at one of our many local branches across the UK and Ireland. Click here to find your local branch:

Writing a letter can be a personal and safe way for you to get your feelings across. It might be too upsetting to talk about certain things on the phone, and writing everything down can help you work through it. Click on the link below to get the postal address:

Writing an email can be a calm and safe way to work through what's on your mind. Especially if it feels too upsetting to talk about on the phone.

Samaritans volunteers answer each email that comes through to jo@samaritans.org
