Description

The Preparing for Adulthood programme (PfA) is funded by the Department for Education as part of the delivery support for the SEN and disability reforms.

The partnership brings together a wide range of expertise and experience of working with young people and families, at a local and national level and across government, to support young people into adulthood with paid employment, good health, independent living options and friends, relationships and community inclusion.

The Department for Education have developed an outcomes tool that is designed to support the development of PfA outcomes in EHC plans across the age range.  It explores the key indicators for preparing for adulthood at different ages and stages of development.  Information is also available on preparing for work and training.
