1. Chadderton Neighbourhood Board
The Government has awarded £20m over ten years for the regeneration of Chadderton and the surrounding area.
This is through the Plan for Neighbourhoods programme that came into effect in March 2025, replacing the Long-Term Plan for Towns programme.
The funding will focus on the issues that matter most to local people. There are three priorities for investment:
- thriving places
- stronger communities
- taking back control
The Chadderton Town Board has been renamed as the Chadderton Neighbourhood Board to deliver the Plan for Neighbourhoods. Its members include community leaders, employers, Oldham Council representatives, and the local MP.
By November 2025, the Board will create a Regeneration Plan with a 10-year vision and an investment plan for years 0-4 of the programme. For more details see:
