If you are asked to add a service that you already have access to, please do not try to add the service or request a PIN. We hope to resolve the issue soon and apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Safari

  • Launch Safari on your ‌iPhone‌ or ‌iPad‌.
  • Navigate to www.oldham.gov.uk You can either search for the website or enter its URL directly into the search bar.




  • Tap the Share icon (the square with an arrow pointing out of it) at the bottom of the screen.
  • Scroll down to the list of actions and tap Add to Home Screen. (If you don't see the action, scroll to the bottom and tap Edit Actions, then tap Add next to the Add to Home Screen action. After that, you'll be able to select it from the Share Sheet.)
  • Type a name for your site link eg: Oldham Council. This will be the title that appears beneath its icon on your Home screen.
  • Tap Add in the top-right corner of the screen.

Chrome

  • Open Google Chrome . It's the round red, blue, yellow, and green icon labeled "Chrome".



  • 
Navigate to www.oldham.gov.uk You can either search for the website or enter its URL directly into the search bar.




  • 
Tap the three-dot menu ⋮ It's at the top-right corner of Chrome.






  • Tap Add to Home screen. It's toward the bottom of the menu. A pop-up window will appear.[1]






  • 
Edit the shortcut title (if needed). This is the text that will appear under your shortcut's icon on the home screen.


  • Tap Add. The shortcut is now on your home screen.








Firefox

  • Open Firefox. It's the orange and purple fox icon.


  • Navigate to www.oldham.gov.uk You can either search for the website or enter its URL directly into the search bar.

Tap the three-dot menu ⋮ It's usually at the top-right corner of Firefox, but you may see it on the bottom of the screen on some tablets.
  • Tap Page on the menu. It's near the middle. Another menu will expand.


  • 
Tap Add Page Shortcut. It's at the bottom of the menu. This opens a pop-up window.


  • 
Place the shortcut on your home screen. 

There are two different ways you can do this:

  • To choose a specific location for the shortcut, tap and hold the blue icon at the center to bring the home screen into view, and then drag it to the right place. The shortcut icon will be placed there.
  • To add the icon to the first available spot, tap Add automatically at the bottom-right corner of the window.

Samsung Internet Browser

  • Open the Internet app on your Samsung Galaxy phone or tablet. It's the blue-and-white Saturn icon.


  • 
Navigate to www.oldham.gov.uk You can either search for the website or enter its URL directly into the search bar.




  • 
Tap the three-dot menu ⋮ It's at the top-right corner of the browser. A menu will expand.


  • 
Tap Add to Home screen. This places an icon for the shortcut in the first available space on the home screen.
