The Big Oldham conversation was launched to promote open and transparent discussion between Oldham council and the residents of the borough. We want to hear what you think about the matters which affect you directly.

As part of Oldham Council’s commitment to community engagement and public consultation we will be holding regular “Meet the Leader” events with Oldham Council’s Leader and Chief Executive.

These events are held in person at locations across the borough to enable access to everyone and promote a diverse range of discussions about the issues which are important to you.

Everyone in the borough is invited to get involved by attending one of the ‘Meet the Leader’ events taking place over the next several months.

So far 9 ‘Meet the Leader’ sessions have been conducted. People have engaged with the leader as well as with other members of their communities. These forums not only allow you to express your views but also to discuss and listen to the views of others, therefore strengthening relationships and promoting community cohesion.

In order to embody real change for the future, we need to hear your views so that our plans are led directly by residents, for the benefit of all residents.
