Meet Rosie Bacon — and be inspired.
Rosie spent 16 years working as a private nanny, starting at just 19 years old and working in London and Didsbury. Now a team leader at Forest Friends Pre-School in Grotton, Rosie is thriving working in early years in an outdoors nature-based setting.
“I love working here. It’s not like work because the children are all so lovely”
At Forest Friends, the team help children to learn through outdoor play.
From safe fire making and outdoor cooking to using real tools, little learners aged 18 months to five years build confidence, independence and physical skills in a natural setting that sparks curiosity through the magic of nature.
Joint Director Kimberley Lee says: “Parents love the fact that they're free to play outside. Using tools brings on their physical development that they can carry on at home and when they start school.”
