The Green Shoots Centre, once built, will be a state-of-the art business centre for Green Technology and Services companies in Oldham.
Supplied entirely by renewable energy from the solar photovoltaic system on the roof of the building, and renewable heating from the Minewater District Heat Network Energy Centre which will also be situated on the same site at Rhodes Bank in the Town Centre.
The Green Shoots Centre will offer first class facilities to green businesses who want to relocate to Oldham Town Centre.
Tenants of the Green Shoots Centre will be able to take advantage of all of the amenities the Town Centre regeneration programme will offer, including new energy efficient residential accommodation, as well as direct transport links to Manchester City Centre.
The Green Shoots Centre is supported by £9m of Levelling Up Fund grant as part of the wider Green Innovation programme, which also includes Jubilee Park, Oldham Greenway and the Northern Roots Education Centre.
