RED WoLF

RED WoLF stands for Rethink Electricity Distribution Without Load Following.

RED WoLF is an Interreg North West Europe funded project to create an innovative hybrid electrical heating system for domestic homes:-

The heating system uses modern storage heaters, solar photovoltaic panels, battery storage and thermal water storage, all controlled by the smart RED WoLF controller, to provide affordable low carbon heating and hot water all year round.

The Council is piloting the RED WoLF system in 19 family homes at Primrose Bank, and if the pilot is successful, will use the system in future Council houses.
