We offer a wide range of courses and qualifications which provide learners with the necessary skills and knowledge to work with children and young people in an educational setting.

 These include short introductory courses to support learners to build their skills and confidence to progress onto one of the following accredited courses:

  • Level 3 Award – Education and Training
  • Level 2 Certificate – Understanding Safeguarding and Prevent
  • Level 2 Certificate – Supporting Teaching and Learning
  • Level 2 Award – Support Work in Schools and Colleges
  • Level 1 Award – Preparing to Work in Schools
  • Level 1 Award – Caring for Children
  • Level 1 Award – Working with Children
  • Entry 3 Award – Caring for Children

If you are interested in a career in training and teaching adults then this course is a valuable introduction to the theory and practice of teaching, learning and assessment.

You will need at least a Level 2 in Literacy, some basic ICT skills and a Level 3/A Level in your subject area.

Huge congratulations to Fakhra, winner of the English Language Learning award, and to all the winners and finalists announced at the #FestivalofLearning2023

Fakhra stated that before attending the ‘Level 1 Award in Working with Children’ with Oldham Lifelong Learning she had been unsuccessful at securing a job, she had attended numerous interviews and believes that she was unable to get a job due to her not being able to answer questions on safeguarding, equal opportunities and confidentiality.

However, since attending the ‘Level 1 Working with Children’ course Fakhra gained knowledge and a good understanding of the importance of the aforementioned.
