Free Parking Offer

You can park for free for up to 3 hours on all Council-owned town centre car parks (listed below) every Saturday and Sunday. To qualify for this offer you must take a ticket from the pay and display machine for the length of time you are intending to stay.

You can also park for up to 30 minutes on-street, Monday to Saturday when you take a ticket from the pay and display machine.

Please ensure you check the welcome board at each location prior to leaving your vehicle; any vehicle parked illegally may be subject to a penalty charge notice.

All Pay and display ticket machines accept cash. There are selected ticket machines which also accept card – these are located at Civic Centre, Tommyfield, Southgate Street, Waterloo Street, Bradshaw Street, Bow Street, and Hobson Street car parks.

Spaces are also available in the Spindles Town Centre Car Park and BloomStreet.
