Respite care provides short-term relief for carers'. It can be arranged for just an afternoon or for several days or weeks.

Respite centres are fully equipped facilities that can give you the care you require.

Hunt Lane Respite Centre

Hunt Lane is a respite care centre for people aged 18 years and older who have physical, sensory and/or learning disabilities.

Facilities

There are four bedrooms available for short term respite care. Two of the bedrooms on the ground floor have ceiling tracking for people who need to use a hoist. There is a lounge with television and DVD player, a dining room and kitchen and laundry facilities.

We have one bathroom and a fully adapted wet room with ceiling tracking and specialised equipment. 

Activities

At Hunt Lane, people are encouraged to do things for themselves so they can live as ordinary a life as possible.

The number 58 bus from Oldham goes to Hunt Lane.

Paying for respite care

There is a charge for respite provision. You will need to have a financial assessment to determine the rate you will be charged.
