NOTICE OF VACANCY IN OFFICE OF COUNCILLOR
OLDHAM METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL - FAILSWORTH WEST WARD
Pursuant to Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN:
(1) That a vacancy has occurred in the office of Councillor for the Failsworth West ward of the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, due to the resignation of Councillor Mark Wilkinson.
(2) Notice in writing of a request for an election to fill the vacancy may be given to me by two electors for the electoral area, and should be delivered to The Returning Officer, JR Clynes Building, Greaves Street, Oldham, OL1 1AL. Upon receipt of a request for the vacancy to be filled, an election will be held to fill the vacancy within 35 working days of the date of such a request.
NOTE: Any person who writes requesting an election should state the address at which their name appears on the current Register of Electors. Further advice can be obtained from the Elections Office on 0161 770 4712.
