  1. Nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer, Room 222 Civic Centre, West Street, Oldham, OL1 1UL between 9am and 4pm on any working day (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays) after the date of this notice but no later than 4pm on Friday, 5 April 2024.
  2. Nomination papers may be obtained from the offices of the Returning Officer, Room 222 Civic Centre, West Street, Oldham, OL1 1UL, during the times stated above.
  3. If any election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday, 2 May 2024.
  4. Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on Tuesday 16 April 2024. Applications can be made online at Register to vote - GOV.UK
  5. Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes and amendments or cancellations of proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Room 222 Civic Centre, West Street, Oldham, OL1 1UL by 5 pm on Wednesday, 17 April 2024.
  6. Applications for a new Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Tuesday 25 April 2023. Applications can be made online at Apply for photo ID voter authority certificate - GOV.UK
  7. New applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Room 222 Civic Centre, West Street, Oldham, OL1 1UL by 5 pm on Wednesday, 24 April 2024.
  8. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election on grounds of physical incapacity, or for work/service reasons, must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Room 222 Civic Centre, West Street, Oldham, OL1 1UL by 5 pm on Thursday, 2 May 2024. The physical incapacity must have occurred after 5 pm on Wednesday, 24 April 2024. To apply on the grounds of work/service, the person must have become aware that they cannot go to the polling station in person after 5 pm on Wednesday, 24 April 2024.
