Some services on the Oldham Council website may be unavailable on Wednesday 24 January between 9am and 1pm while maintenance work is carried out. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

All major public transport providers have discounted rates for students.

Scholar's Pass for 16 - 19 year olds

Concession rates on buses and trams before 9.00pm, Monday to Friday.

You can travel at other times with a "variance voucher".

Monthly tickets

Three month tickets

The First Group bus company has a 3 month concession card for students.

Annual tickets

Concessionary fares for people with a disability

Free travel pass

If you have moderate or severe learning disabilities or certain other severe physical difficulties/sensory impairment, you can apply for a free travel pass for buses, trains and trams within Greater Manchester, and travel at approximately half the full fare to neighbouring counties.

Concessionary travel pass

If you have other physical difficulties/sensory impairment, you may be entitled to a concessionary travel pass which entitles you to pay half the adult fare on buses and local trains, and a child's fare on Metrolink if travelling before 9.30am on a weekday.

If you start your journey in Greater Manchester after 9.30am or at weekends or on a bank holiday you can travel for free.
