Some My Account services will be unavailable from 5pm Thu 5 March to Tue 10 March while we calculate Council Tax bills and Housing Benefit awards for 2026/27. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Affected services

During an emergency or disaster situation public safety is a priority.

Seek advice and information from the emergency services, or in the case of flooding, from the Environment Agency.

For information about gas, electricity and water contact the service provider.

If you are at the scene of an incident, follow the instruction of the emergency services, if there are no emergency services at the scene dial 999.

During most major emergencies and particularly chemical related major emergencies, the initial instructions from the emergency services is for residents in the affected area to:

  • Go in
  • Stay in
  • Tune in

Information will be available on radio, television, and online.
