Heritage and Civic Tours

The Mayor's Office can organise guided tours for local groups, organisations, schools and individuals to view the Civic regalia and silverware.

Also on display at the Civic Centre is the Trust Silver of the 10th Battalion Manchester Regiment and 40th/41st Royal Tank Regiment with items of regimental historical importance.

Central to this display are the 10th Manchester Regiment’s silver drums and bugles.

These were purchased by the Ladies of Oldham in 1924 as a memorial to those who had fallen in the Great War.

School groups are also welcome to visit the Council Chambers where they can hold school council debates, followed by a tour of the Mayor's Parlour.
