2. Instructions

Before the Pest Control visit

  • Please remove all contaminated bedding and clothing (both your own and your pet's) from the property in black bags.  This should be then be washed on a hot washing machine cycle if possible. 
  • Throw the black bags away in your bin outside. Do not use them again.  
  • Please remove sofa cushions, soft furnishings and mattresses. Stand these up against the walls ready for treatment.
  • Move all furniture away from walls to allow the best possible access to all areas.
  • Remove pets from the property before the treatment. Remove or cover aquariums and fish tanks.
  • Also remove any pet food, bedding, water bowls and toys.
  • Treat all pets using an approved veterinary product and keep them out of the property during treatments.
  • You will need to leave the property during treatment, and not return until the property is completely dry.

After the Pest Control visit

  • If wet treatment has been used, do not vacuum for 14 days after treatment, as this will remove the insecticide on carpets and floor coverings
  • Let the treatment dry out completely (approx 2 hours) and then ventilate the room(s) thoroughly before allowing pets to return. 
  • Clean up any dead fleas on surfaces and floors and dispose of in external bins.
  • Monitor your home and your pets for re-infestations.
  • Carry out periodic flea treatments on all pets.
