We are changing the way the Link Centre operates, relaunching it as a centre for our health, social care and voluntary sector teams work together as well as providing accessible meeting space.

Services previously offered by the centre are available across Oldham

Blue Badge

The blue badge team will still be based at the Link centre but will not be accessible to the public. If you need to speak to a member of the team they will be available at Oldham Library on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am - 2pm. 

Sensory Team

The Sensory Team will still be based at the Link Centre but will not be accessible to the public. Drop in sessions will be held at Tandle View Court, Rochdale Road, Royton, OL2 5QT on the following days:

Deaf and hard of hearing support: Wednesday 9am - 1pm.

Visually impaired support: Friday 9.30am - 1.30pm.

ICT facilities

You can access computers with free internet access in many council buildings including libraries and lifelong learning centres.

Bathing and sensory facilities

Bathing amenities are available at our Extra Care Housing schemes located throughout the borough. The schemes also offer sensory and memory rooms, cafés and restaurants and a range of leisure activities.

Those people with complex needs who need hoist equipment will only be able to use the bathing facilities at Trinity house.

There is a charge of £2.50 for using the bathing facilities.

Another sensory room is available at Viking House, 449 Middleton Road, Chadderton, OL9 9LB this is a private provider and charges £12 per hour

Groups and meeting rooms

Building work is taking place from March 2018 to change the building’s purpose.  The ground floor will provide Oldham’s accessible meeting space and the upper floors will house staff delivering our new, integrated health and social care service – Oldham Cares.
