Simpler Recycling
Simpler Recycling regulations require businesses to separate recyclable materials from their general waste.
What your business needs to do
Businesses must arrange separate collections for the following types of waste:
- Glass, metal and plastic
- Paper and cardboard
- Food waste
These requirements apply to businesses, healthcare establishments and educational institutions.
Small businesses with fewer than 10 full-time equivalent employees are currently exempt from these requirements. However, they will also need to comply when the exemption ends.
