Important Information About Bulky Collection Payments
We are aware that some residents have been contacted by individuals claiming to be working on behalf of the Council and asking for payment via text message, WhatsApp, or by knocking on doors.
Please be assured that Oldham Council will never ask for payment by text message, WhatsApp, or in person at your door. The only time you will be asked to make a payment for a bulky waste collection is when you call us directly to book the service.

Book a bulky collection

Currently, the prices for collections are:
From 1 April 2026, our pricing for bulky household waste collections will be changing.
- All standard bulky items will be charged at a flat rate of £10 per item
- Selected smaller household items will be charged at a reduced rate of £5 per item
- There will be no additional charge for the collection of fridges or freezers
These changes will apply to all bookings scheduled on or after this date.
To protect our staff and customers we are requesting that you make your items available outside on the day of collection,
