The Huddersfield Narrow Canal runs through the scenic villages of Saddleworth, connecting the towns of Ashton-under-Lyne and Huddersfield.

At its centre lies the unique Standedge Tunnel - the longest, highest and deepest canal tunnel in the country.

The Visit Oldham website has information about activities along the canal, from towpath walks, to boat trips, the Ale Trail and more.

Huddersfield Canal Society

The Huddersfield Canal Society promotes the canal, and the many activities and events on the canal.
