Foxdenton Park is a quieter green space featuring landscaped gardens, mature trees and an ornamental duck pond.

Facilities include bowling greens, tennis courts, a children’s play area, football pitches, a cricket wicket, woodland walk and a sensory garden.

The park’s history dates back to the early 1400s when the Radcliffe family established Foxdenton Hall. The current hall dates from 1620 and was later rebuilt in 1700.

During the Civil War period, it was rumoured that a tunnel connected Foxdenton Hall to Chadderton Hall. Some evidence of this was reportedly discovered during renovations in 1965.

In more recent times, the hall has been used for private functions and historical performances.
