How gadgets and gizmos can help you

If you or a member of your family are interested in finding out how using digital technologies can improve your life, then come along to our Smart Ageing event.
The event is mainly aimed at the older generation, carers and those people who may find it difficult to get out and about. On the day you’ll find out how to use technology to help you engage with people and the things you love to do.
Activities will include:
- Shopping in Tommyfield Market from the comfort of an armchair
- Experiencing a live link-up from Alexandra Park
- Virtual Gogglebox – settling down in an armchair to watch a film clip of your choice and talking about it with a volunteer who will be watching from a different location
- Getting involved in setting up a virtual book club
- Talking to experts who can show how simple technology can make a big difference to someone’s home life
