Registrars opening hours over the festive period are as follows:
- Christmas Eve 9.00-4.00pm
- Christmas Day closed
- Boxing Day closed
- Saturday 27th December closed
- Sunday 28th December closed
- Monday 29th December- 31st December 9.00am-5.00pm
- 1st January 2026 closed
- Normal opening hours resume from 2nd January 2026
Normal cover for urgent burial requests will be available 27 December and 28 December 9.30- 12.15pm via the out of hours number: 0161 770 8960
Bereavement Services
Bereavement services will be closed on:
- Christmas Day
- Boxing Day
- New Year’s Day
Out-of-Hours Support
Out-of-hours support will operate as normal throughout the period, except on Christmas Day, when the service is closed.
