Loss of public open space notice

Oldham Council is currently undertaking a review of its land and property portfolio. The purpose of which is to identify opportunities to save money that can be redirected to other Council services. In addition a number of the properties may be capable of redevelopment either by the Council or sold.

The Council has published a formal notice in accordance with the relevant legislation and will consider any comments that are received from members of the public before finally deciding what to do with each piece of land

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Section 123 (2A) of the Local Government Act 1972 that it is the intention of Oldham Borough Council to dispose of the land described in the Schedule below which land consists of open space (“the Land”).

In accordance with the provisions of Section 123(2A) of the Local Government Act 1972 the Council will consider any objections to the proposed disposal of the Land which are received within 28 days of the date of first publication of this Notice and which are addressed to:
