  • Individuals nominated to receive a ‘wish’ under the Truly Wished Fund

What we use your information for 

We collect your personal information for the following purpose(s): 

  • Facilitating the assessment of nominations by the Mayoral Committee for the Truly Wished Fund 
  • Facilitating the granting of wishes to successful nominees for the Truly Wished Fund 
  • Promotional activity relating to the success of the scheme 

What categories of personal information we use 

Personal information can be anything that identifies and relates to a living person. This can include information that when linked with other information, allows a person to be uniquely identified. For example, this could be your name and contact details.

*Although not required or requested for the nomination process, we accept that this information may be provided by an individual making a nomination as part of demonstrating why the ‘wish’ should be granted.

The legal basis for processing and or sharing your personal information is:  

  • For public interest reasons in accordance with Article 6(e) and Article 9(g) of UK General Data Protection Regulations and meeting the requirements of Schedule 1, Part 2 of the Data Protection Act 2018 
  • Legitimate interests in accordance with Article 6(f) of UK General Data Protection Regulations 

Information sharing/recipients 

We may share personal information about you with the following organisations: 

  • Action Together 

As well as information collected directly from you, we also obtain or receive information from: 

  • Individuals making a nomination for you to receive a ‘wish’ 

Data Transfers beyond European Economic Area  

We do not transfer any of your personal information outside the European Economic Area (‘EEA’).

All the decisions we make about you involve human intervention. 

How long we keep your data 

We will only keep your personal information for as long as the law specifies or where the law does not specify this, for the length of time determined by our business requirements.
