Oldham Parent Carer Forum is recognised by the Department for Education as the Parent/Carer forum for the borough of Oldham. 

Point was established in 2010 by 4 parents and carers of children and young people with additional needs and disabilities. Their driving mission is to ensure that parents and carers of had access to meaningful information, advice and peer support, whilst enabling their voices to be heard to drive change and shape better services 

Oldham SEND IASS services exists to help parents and carers of children and young people who have or may have special educational needs and/or disabilities; and children and young people themselves in matters relating to their education, health and care provision. 

National groups

Family Fund is the UK’s largest charity providing grants for families raising disabled or seriously ill children and young people age 0-17. Last year, they provided 89,101 grants or services worth over £33 million to families across the UK.

The Council for Disabled Children are the umbrella body for the disabled children's sector bringing together professionals, practitioners and policy-makers.

The National Development Team for Inclusion (NDTi) enable people at risk of exclusion, due to age or disability, to live the life they choose.

Independent Provider of Special Education Advice (known as IPSEA) is a registered charity (number 327691) operating in England. IPSEA offers free and independent legally based information, advice and support to help get the right education for children and young people with all kinds of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). We also provide training on the SEND legal framework to parents and carers, professionals and other organisations.
