Annie Kenney was born in Oldham in 1879.  She was a suffragette who campaigned for women to get the vote.  Annie worked in a cotton mill from the age of ten.

She used to ring a bell to get people to pay attention to her speeches.  Look at the hand holding her pamphlet.  She lost a finger in an accident when she worked in a mill as a teenager.

Why not write a speech about something you feel is important when you get home?
