Part of this boroughwide project included a proposal to build a family cycle trail and skills area, and a natural play trail on the spoil heaps next to Brushes Clough car park.
The overall bid was based on the feedback of over 3000 people and the development of the Play and Free Time Strategy adopted by the Council.
The project is the result of a bid by the Oldham Play Partnership for Big Lottery ‘Adventures in Play’ funding in 2007.
