Crompton Moor: Adventures in Play proposals
About the proposal
Part of this boroughwide project included a proposal to build a family cycle trail and skills area, and a natural play trail on the spoil heaps next to Brushes Clough car park.
The overall bid was based on the feedback of over 3000 people and the development of the Play and Free Time Strategy adopted by the Council.
The project is the result of a bid by the Oldham Play Partnership for Big Lottery ‘Adventures in Play’ funding in 2007.
The local community was asked about the proposal, here are the results:

Summer/Autumn 2010 - Work on bike trails due
Winter 2009/10 - Stage 2 consultation on bike trail proposals led to revised trails
Summer 2009 - Public consultation on proposed bike trail plans
June 2007 - Oldham Play Partnership wins funding from Big Lottery to replace unofficial bike trails with a purpose-built family trail and pump track (part of a larger borough-wide project)
